VNC is a great open source program. It is not as rich simple and fast as RDP on a network, at least so far, in my experience. It is free. It is an open source community project and great.

This was set up to show web users some things webmasters can see when someone visits a site, and as a quick reference for people like "What's my IP?", though there are plenty such resources out there.
This site is not tracking or keeping this information, and it's done using a Linux server and a simple PHP script. Other info may be available from Windows web servers. Some of this information, like what kind of browser you're using, can be very helpful to webmasters to allow them to give you a good browsing experience.
I generally use godaddy.com for purchasing domain names, and hostgator for ready-to-go webspace.
Purchasing your domain using my godaddy affiliate link below will give me a little credit. Registering a domain can run from $6-$20 a year, approximately and there's a bit of variance. A reason to register your own domain is to set up your own email addresses, such as myname@networkspace.info, myname@bitpath.org, etc.
